What is microblading & shading?

Microblading is an advanced technique of cosmetic tatooing that is done by a process of implementing color pigment beneath the surface of the skin. It is done with a row of sterile disposable needles that form a blade shape. They produce an appearance of hair where there isn't any or add more to enhance and create fullness where hair already exists.

Shading used similar but different blades to create a more filled in, opaque look. It can be done by itself or added to micorblading. Sara can determine what is best for you and your brows depending on the look you would like and the overall shape and density of your natural brows. Both techniques are used by a manual hand tool.

does it hurt?
How long does it last?

After the first appointment,  a touch-up or prefecting appoinment is is required 4-8 weeks after the initial procedure. Touch ups are needed for cosmetic tattoo procedures, with each new procedure requiring 2 or more visits. It is very common and normal for microblading to fade substantially the first time it is done which is why it requires layering and is a two to three step process. A yearly touch up is necessary to keep your brows looking fresh. Frequency of touch-ups and how they fade depend on a number of factors including sun exposure, chemical peels (glycolic, lactic, etc.), how active the client is, and how fast each individual's cell turnover is.  Please note that final results and time frame cannot be guaranteed as each skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates.

Topical anesthetic cream and gel are used for numbing before and during your procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entirety of the procedure. Most clients say it does not hurt at all! However, please note you will be more sensitive on your menstrual cycle.
